AMAZON FINDS I LOVE
Before we left Texas I purged quite a lot of things. Knowing that the home we were moving into was smaller (only approximately 150sf) and with far less storage, getting rid of things was necessary. It was quite a chore going through 40+ years of collections, Christmas decor, gardening things and clothing that wouldn't be necessary in the tropics.
As we've settled in we've continued to get rid of a lot of things that we either don't have room for or don't need. Some things we knew we would upgrade to a quality that would serve us for many years to come.
Like most, we have found Amazon to be a great resource. Ive found several items lately that I've really enjoyed. Here are a few.
This blanket is absolutely fantastic! It's the perfect weight for our weather here in Florida. It washes up nicely and comes in several different colors. I got it in white.
Anyone who knows me knows my love for candles! Twenty years ago I rarely burned anything but Yankee Candles. Somewhere along the way Yankee changed their formula and I slowly gravitated away from them. There is only one scent that I still use (Christmas Wreath) but other than that I really don't purchase them much any more. In fact, most candles seem to give me headaches, especially recently. Because of that, and because I love for my home to smell nice I've started using more essential oils. I've had several diffusers of varying sizes. My largest one finally gave out a few months before we moved so I needed to get a new one. I love the size of this one. It lasts for quite awhile and has a timer so that it can be set for however long you'd like. It also has an auto turn off which is nice. This way it won't burn out if the water is gone. It also has several light settings and can function as a nightlight if desired. It will double as a humidifier too, although I'm not thinking we need any more humidity here in Florida!😁. Bonus: It currently has a $3 coupon available until June 26th
In Texas we had gas which enabled us to have a gas stove. I REALLY hated giving this up and actually looked for homes with gas. Sadly, we were unable to find one and I ended up inheriting an induction stove. Unbeknownst to me, you can't use cast iron or aluminum pots and pans on induction so... I had to buy all new cookware.
I've been seeing these pots and pans advertised everywhere and the reviews were all fantastic. I'd have to say, they're valid! I LOVE the set! They are non-stick and quite literally I can wipe them out with a soapy wet dishcloth- no scrubbing- and they're good to go! I highly recommend them if you are in the market for a new set of cookware. It does look like a bit of a splurge but for what you get it's really quite reasonable. The set is currently 39% off.
