The "Luke" Garden
You may remember a few months back (May 7, 2012) a blog post about a randomly shaped new garden bed? I thought maybe you'd like to see what it looks like today.
This morning we did a little rock rearranging. (Only one toe was sacrificed in the finishing of this garden.) Luke has done most of the hard slave labor for my garden beds. He's my "go to guy" for digging and hauling rocks around etc. I'm not sure what I'm going to do after he moves back to Abilene in a couple of weeks?!
Here are the before and after pictures in an ever evolving process.
You'll probably notice that my raised veggie bed is looking pretty bare. If you live in Texas you know why. We are in between veggie seasons! In the next week or so another batch of tomatoes, squash, beans and peppers. Later on in September, spinach, kale, cabbage, broccoli, cilantro, onions, radishes, lettuce, garlic and a few other cooler weather crops will go in.
